2007 Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD SportWagon(Sweden)

In the hands of its previous owner, General Motors, Swedish automaker Saab suffered an identity crisis, producing models as disparate as a body-on-frame SUV based on a Chevrolet and a small hatchback based on a Subaru. All that's left for the brand, now owned by Dutch boutique automaker Spyker Cars, are the compact 9-3 and midsize 9-5. The 9-3 comes as a sedan, a hatchback (SportCombi) and a convertible. All are offered in performance-tuned, turbocharged Aero versions.Saab's best shot at redemption is a newly redesigned 9-5, which has an upgraded interior as well as a new foundation, shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Regal. A 9-5 SportCombi is expected within a year of the sedan's release. After 11 years under GM control, Saab Automobile was purchased by Spyker. Saab is headquartered in Trollhattan, Sweden.
